Always measure:
Doorways - Width, height and diagonal measurement of all doorways that the furniture will be going through.
Stairways - If your new furniture is to go up or down stairs please measure the diagonal distance between stairs and ceiling. This measurement needs to be 4 inches or more than the diagonal measurement of the piece.
Hallways - Measure the width and height of hallways.
Furniture - Always measure the width, height, depth and diagonal measurement (front bottom to back top). These measurements are to insure that the if the piece needs to be turned and maneuvered that it will still fit.
Common pieces that do not fit:
Headboards - Because they appear smaller than other pieces it is assumed that they will fit when actually most of the time the headboard is the tallest item.
Deep Sofas - Sofas that have a deep seat are difficult to maneuver around turns/corners.
Heavy Furniture - The heavier a piece is the less maneuverable it is.
Other notes:
The items you are purchasing must measure less than all locations it will be going through to ensure it will be a successful delivery.
